Obtain an order or referral from your child’s physician if you haven’t already done so.
•
Contact your insurance company to verify the coverage for the services your child needs.
Recommended questions to ask include:

Do I have coverage for outpatient occupational therapy?

If there is coverage, are there any exclusions?
o
Do I have a neuro-developmental benefit?
o
Do I have a co-payment or a percentage of the bill I will be responsible for?

Does my plan require a deductible be paid before the coverage begins?
